ACS and Tedagua present at the 1st National Pro-VMA Conference in Peru

The companies ACS Servicios, Comunicaciones y Energía S.L. and Técnicas de Desalinización de Aguas S.A. (TEDAGUA), the consortium contracted to provide the design, construction, and future operation for a period of 25 years of the Taboada Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), were present at the 1st National Pro-VMA (Valores Máximos Admisibles - Maximum Permitted Values) Conference. The event, organised by the Lima Drinking Water and Sewer Service (SEDAPAL), was held to promote compliance with the standard that approves the maximum permitted values for discharge of non-household waste water to the sanitary sewer system. It also offered participants products and services that are available for these treatments.

This important event was held from 24 to 26 October 2012, with participation by the country’s most significant institutions: SEDAPAL, SUNASS, ANA, MVCS, MINAM, Municipalities, and solution-providers, among others.

During his presentation, Jorge Casella, Tegagua’s Director of Water and the Environment in Peru, said that the Taboada WWTP project will treat the North Interceptor collectors, Comas - Chillón collector, and the Sarita Colonia Discharge Line, servicing 4.3 million inhabitants of 27 districts in Lima and Callao, representing 57% of the two cities.
