TEDAGUA is to take part in JIA 2009

Next 27 and 28 October, the 1st Water Engineering Conference (JIA 2009) will be held, organised by the CEDEX (Public Works Studies and Experimentation Centre) and the Spanish Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, in collaboration with the Foundation for the Development of Water Engineering (FFIA) and the Spanish Chapter of the International Hydraulic Engineering and Research Association (CE IAHR).

In this way, JIA 2009 will serve as a multidisciplinary technical meeting point to facilitate dialogue between sectors involved in water-related aspects and in particular, between Universities, Businesses and the Government. All those attending this forum will be able to share their experiences, discuss them and draw practical conclusions that will allow innovative actions to be introduced in this area.

During its first edition, the conference will deal with issues related to water and cities, water uses and management, hydraulic structures, hydrology and fluvial dynamics. These topics will complete those discussed at other meetings and congresses on Water Engineering held regularly in Spain. In addition, each conference will include a monographic topic, which will be discussed in depth. During this edition, the chosen theme is "Water and energy".

TEDAGUA has taken an active part in this first edition of JIA by presenting the talk "Technologies applied to the pre-treatment of Escombreras Desalination Plant", which will be given by its Technical and Development Director, Miguel Ángel Fernández, during the afternoon of 27th October.
