Tedagua shares its know-how in the use of water for a sustainable development in the Arab Water Forum

Tedagua was present in the fifth edition of the Arab Water Forum (AWF) as a sponsor, in addition to having the opportunity to share its success stories on the influence of water in sustainable development.

This annual forum is considered to be the most important in the region, since it is a unique platform to reach the leaders of the water community as well as the most important public organizations of the Arab countries, where the water-related challenges faced by the region that is most affected by water scarcity are discussed.

The fifth edition of the forum was held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) between September 21 and 23, and was sponsored by the most important public organizations of the Arab League -the organization that gathers together the Arab states of the Middle East and the Maghreb.

Tedagua aimed to share its 38 years of experience in the water sector by actively participating in the forum. During the event of September 23, the Director of Business Development, Luis Miguel Arauzo, gave a talk that showcased some of Tedagua's success stories, which have added value to the sustainable development of the regions where they took place.

The successful projects that were featured included the Spence Mine seawater desalination plant, which has recently been commissioned. This is a treatment plant with a production capacity of 86,400 m3/day located in Mejillones, due north of Chile. Its success lies in the fact that it will enable the mine's production to be doubled by means of a new mine drilling process, avoiding the use of freshwater sources in a region such as the desert of Atacama, which is significantly affected by drought.

Other projects featured in the talk were the Beni Saf desalination plant in Algeria, Tuas III in Singapore and the Provisur project in Peru -all of these, facilities that have clearly contributed to the development of their areas of influence in a sustainable manner.
