Tedagua sponsors the 6th AQUA’09 Water Management Conference
For the third year running, TEDAGUA has sponsored the 6th AQUA'09 Water Management Conference organised by the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, held at Hotel Auditorium in Madrid on 17 - 18 November 2009.
The sponsorship of TEDAGUA consisted mainly of organising the monographic session entitled "New technologies applied in the reuse of wastewater. Future trends". With a clearly technical focus, aspects were dealt with such as the prospects for reusing water in Spain (Alejandra Puig - Head of the Water Quality Control and Vigilante Area of the Spanish Ministry of the Environment), specific experiences in tertiary treatment in the Region of Murcia (Pedro Simón - Technical Director of ESAMUR) and different technologies of water reuse systems, imparted by representatives from several equipment supply companies.
In addition, TEDAGUA was also present indirectly as one of the founder members of the Spanish Association of Water Technology Companies - ASAGUA-, which organised a special programme on the National Quality Plan for the Waters of the Tagus Basin. Those included in the programme were Adrián Baltanás (Director General of the Association), Ana Mª Botella (Environmental Councillor of Madrid City Council), José María Macías (President of the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation) and José Luis Quintana (Councillor for Development of the Regional Government of Extremadura), who gave a global vision of the situation in the Tagus Basin.
