Tedagua wins a contract for improvement of the drinking water supply in six Cameroonian towns
The Cameroon Water Utilities Corporation (Camwater), a state corporation whose aim is to manage the assets and rights pertaining to the public drinking water services in the urban and suburban environments on behalf of the State of Cameroon, has awarded Tedagua, in consortium with Eduinter, the contract for refurbishment, upgrading and extension of the drinking water supply systems in six Cameroonian towns: Bangangté, Bana, Bafang, Bangou, Bansoa and Foumban.
The works, with an completion period of 18 months and a € 13 m equivalent budget financed by the African Development Bank and Camwater, aim to improve water catchment, refurbish drinking water treatment plants, build four new water treatment plants, four new pumping stations and seven storage tanks and lay 108 km of drinking water supply piping.
