Bee Creek Treatment Plant Expansion
"The works consisted of expanding the wastewater treatment plant of Bee Creek in the city of Murray, from its 19,900 m3/day (5.25 MGD) initial capacity up to an average of 33,120 m3/day (8.75 MGD) with expected peaks of up to 90,840 m3/day (24.0 MGD). The project consists of a new pretreatment system in the water line for the entire capacity of the plant, vertical flow reactors and modifying the three existing oxidation lines. Three new clarifiers were built and five existing ones were optimized, and a new ultraviolet disinfection line was installed. In the sludge line, the dewatering system, pumps and backwashing tanks were completely remodeled. New buildings and instrumentation and control systems were built to facilitate the operation and maintenance of the entire plant. "
