Desalination plant "Virgen del Milagro" (Mazarrón)
Back in the day, this facility proved to be essential for the agricultural and stockbreeding development of the region, given the severe water shortage experienced in the area. Constructed in several phases, its current production capacity is 37,500 m3/day, obtained via a reverse osmosis process. This desalination plant was the first one in Spain to include energy recovery units with the purpose of reducing its power consumption.
