Expansion of Belgrano water treatment plant
"This project consists of an expansion to the General Belgrano drinking water treatment plant with the purpose of increasing the total capacity by 1,000,000 m³/day, thereby raising the plant’s capacity from its current 1,950,000 m3/day up to 2,950,000 m³/day. The plant serves 3.5 million people in the districts of Quilmes, Lanús, Avellaneda, Lomas de Zamora, Esteban Echeverría, Almirante Brown, part of La Matanza and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The treatment process consists of desanding – degreasing, coagulation, flocculation – decantation, sand filtration and disinfection."
