Gandarío wastewater treatment plant and collectors
The plant’s treatment process consists of an extended aeration activated sludge suspended biomass biological treatment process, nitrification – denitrification and odor control via activated charcoal filters. Average capacity of 2,250 m3/sec with peaks of 2,700 m3/sec for a population equivalent of 6,000. The contract includes 4.3 Km of combined sewers, pumping stations and a marine outfall.
