Rehabilitation of the Chiciu - Calarasi Water Treatment Plant.
"Ecoaqua, the regional drinking water operator for this region, entrusted Tedagua with the task of rehabilitating the intake and treatment facilities of the Chiciu drinking water treatment plant, which supplies the city of Calarasi with 92% of the city’s drinking water. The plant’s rehabilitation consisted of the construction of two new lamella clarifiers to improve the water treatment process, flocculation mixers and submersible scraper bridges, in addition to new coagulant and polyelectrolyte storage and dosing systems. A new treatment system is being added for the sludge that results from the clarification process and from the recycling of water yielded by the dewatering process, consisting of the installation of a gravity belt thickener, two centrifugal pumps, a conveyor for transporting the dewatered sludge to the sludge platform and recirculation system. The works also include the rehabilitation of the existing raw water intake headworks on the Danube River and the construction of a new floating intake to ensure the collection at any time of year, as well as a 6.7 Km GFRP pipeline leading to the city of Calarasi and the integration of all facilities into the operator’s SCADA system."
