Reuse and desalination systems on the Island of Tenerife
"This is a contract with an initial duration of three years that stipulates a possible extension for three additional years. The facilities that make up the contracted service constitute the following infrastructure modules: 1) Tertiary Recycling Treatment via the continuous filtration of a nominal peak flow of 32,000 m3/day of water treated at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). 2) Regulating reservoir with a capacity of 15,000 m3 and pumping station for water recycled at the previous station, with a nameplate capacity of 2,160 m3/hour to a height of 220 meters. 3) Regulating reservoir with a capacity of 15,000 m3 for transported water, located in the urban region of El Tablero, in the municipality of Santa Cruz. 4) Pumping station with a pumping capacity of 432 m3/hour to a height of 166 m of recycled water stored in the El Saltadero reservoir, in Granadilla. 5) Desalination Plant of “Complejo Hidráulico de Valle de San Lorenzo” (San Lorenzo Valley Hydraulic Complex) in the municipality of Arona, with a nameplate recycled water production capacity of 12,000 m3/day. 6) Desalination Plant of the “Sistema Adeje-Arona” (Adeje-Arona System), in the municipality of Adeje, with a recycled water production capacity of 8,000 m3/day. 7) Groundwater Desalination Plant with a production capacity of 4,000 m3/day, and a Pumping Station that pumps water to the Montaña de Taco reservoir, with a nameplate capacity of 864 m3/hour to a height of 107 m; in the “Complejo Hidráulico Isla Baja” (Isla Baja Hydraulic Complex) in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte."
