Project Characteristics
Sfax desalination plant
The plant will use reverse osmosis technology and will have an initial capacity of 100,000 m3/day, although the civil works will be carried out to support a future expansion to 200,000 m3/day. The marine infrastructure will consist of two intake towers, a 4,200-meter immisary and a 3,200-meter brine outfall.
Located in the town of Sfax, 20 km from the city center, it will be an essential infrastructure for the socio-economic development of the region, as it will definitively guarantee access to drinking water for more than 600,000 inhabitants.
