·      Published in FuturEnviro in July, 2021.

The Doraleh Desalination Plant, located in the Capital of Djibouti, is part of the PEPER (Producing Safe Drinking Water with Renewable Energy) project led by the European Commission as part of the “Sustainable Energy for All” initiative.

The plant's construction and its subsequent exploitation for a period of 5 years will improve the supply of drinking water to the region by adding the 22,500 m3 per day generated by the desalination plant to the distribution system, benefiting a population of approximately 200,000.

The head of Engineering of Tedagua thoroughly explains what the project is about in the report.
